BAXTER THE DOG CREATES ‘BOOK FOR A BOOK’ CAMPAIGN
TO BENEFIT CHILDREN’S HEART FOUNDATION
Every book purchased puts a book in the hands of foundation’s ‘Heart Kids’
LAS VEGAS – Baxter the Dog has returned from Imagination Land to help bring light and laughter to children battling congenital heart defects. Author Jennifer Hart, who created the beloved children’s book character, has launched the “Book for a Book” campaign to provide the Children’s Heart Foundation with “Baxter” books for the holiday season.
The campaign is simple: For every book purchased from the “Baxter the Dog” series, a copy will be sent to “Heart Kids” of the Children’s Heart Foundation, the country’s leading organization dedicated to funding Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) research and providing children suffering from the disease with lifelong support.
“Baxter and I are always looking for ways to inspire people,” explains Hart, whose pup, Baxter, serves as the inspiration for her stories. “All Baxter The Dog Books celebrate creativity and imagination. Our hope is in the hands of a child, they can provide motivation and life-changing inspiration.”
Hart has released three titles under her Baxter the Dog Books banner: “Baxter Goes to Imagination Land” and its follow-up, “Baxter Returns to Imagination Land” coloring and activity book; as well as the just-released “Baxter’s Sweets & Treats” recipe book inspired by family favorites and characters from the “Baxter The Dog” series.
“Baxter’s Sweets & Treats” is currently available exclusively through the “Book for a Book” campaign. Books ordered through November 20 from baxterthedogbooks.com will be prepared and shipped by the end of November, with the goal of putting 1,000 books in the hands of children for the holidays.
